I think that it's more of a rhythm shot than skill. You already know where to hit it but once it goes in the first time, you always try to mimic exactly what you did. It also depends on the rack as well. I had the unfortuate incident of having two 8-on breaks (and almost a third one) in a row at the Singles Regionals to put me out of the contest. [:(!][:(]

I agree fully. Now I've never been written up to my knowledge but my first couple sessions in the APA i played on an in house league with alot of higher rated opponents, and lost about 70% of the time because of which I was eventually dropped to a 2.

Then overtime as I joined a traveling league the skills began to vary more, and of course I got better. I went from 2 to 3 to 4 and then eventually 5.

Now throughout all the time I had higher rated players complain about me all the time that I was underrated if I gave them a hard time, or actually even beat them.

Just recently in the past 2 sessions as a 5 I've played a team with 3 6's and beat them all in our past 3 meetings including their team captain for a 4-0 for a rackless night in which he also had 1 e8. Now everytime we play them the mumble under their breaths to eachother about whos going to play me, and always tell me that i'm under rated that I should be a 6.

But i know that i'm too inconsistant to be a 6 atm.
